Our teachers are experienced and dedicated.
We know each student's individual strengths and needs and
this
allows us to personalise their learning.
One of the strengths of our school is our multi-age classes.
These allow students to easily move between stages and to
accelerate in areas where a student is particularly talented.
Our students support and encourage each other.
The older students know and look after the younger students.
Friendships span all years. We are all friends.
By the time they are ready to start school, younger siblings have
visited the school on many occasions and so beginning big school
is just a natural part of life.

A small school allows each and every child to be involved in
every possible performance or sporting or school activity.
It is not just the best children who are involved with a particular
activity but all who wish to be involved.
All of our students participate in dance, drama, art, music, band
sport, athletics, cross country, swimming, gymnastics,
and many other activities.
Each one of our students participates in the special swimming
scheme. As a small school we offer this to all of our students
(not just one class) anually.
There is always something going on at waterfall.
Waterfall Public School has been the focus of the Waterfall
community for over 100 years. All our families are closely
involved with both the community and the school.
The people of Waterfall actively support our school as we
support
them by making facilities available to community groups and
sharing our library. Our community celebrates with us each
time we celebrate- and celebrate we do! Some of our
annual
celebrations include: Grandfriend's Day, the Easter Hat
Parade,
Presentation Day, end of term BBQ's and of course the annual family
disco.
As a school, we also celebrate each child's birthday - something
only a small school can do!
Our parents are very involved in the school. We have an active,
friendly P&C who make a wonderful contribution to the school.
Parents are always welcome and are actively encouraged to be involved in class and school activities.
We have high expectations of our students and expect each to
achieve the best of their ability - and they do!
Waterfall students do achieve highly in statewide testing,
university based subject tests and selective class entrance tests.
These results reflect the high standard of education delivered by
Watefall Public School.
